Saint Timothy's Parish Hall
This month the group has elected to watch a Cohen Brothers comedy - Oh Brother Where Art Thou. Loosely based on Homer‘s Odyssey, Ulysses Everett McGill engages in picaresque (I had to look this up too) adventures with his companions Delmar and Pete in 1930s Mississippi as they attempt to retrieve the loot from a previous heist. As they discover, getting there is half the fun.

The reasons for the geopolitical turmoil and recent open warfare in the Middle East surrounding Israel, Palestine, the United States and Iran confuse many people.
This presentation is designed to both inform and stimulate discussion. It will provide an overview of historical, social, economic, and religious forces that have shaped recent events with an emphasis on events beginning in the World War I era. This is a follow-up to the previous presentation on the Middle East.
The presenter, Village Board member Jim Lammendola, earned a master‘s degree in Middle Eastern history from Temple University in 1979 before pursuing a career in law.
